Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records on the file of the 2nd respondent made in Letter No.13993/A.O.1/2017-2 dated 11.05.2018 and to quash the same and direct the 2nd respondent to recommend and forward the petitioner's late husband's application to the 1st respondent and consequently, direct the 1st respondent to grant pension to the petitioner's late husband under Swatantrata Sainik Samman Pension Scheme and to pay the same to the petitioner as arrears of pension and consequently, the family pension also to petitioner.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, there is no representation for the petitioner. The writ petitioner had unfortunately died. Therefore, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. However, if the legal heirs seek to restore the writ petition, they are at liberty to file necessary application to restore the writ petition.
