O R D E R

The petitioner has come with the present writ petition seeking for writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider and dispose of the the petitioner's representation dated 07.09.2015.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he is physically challenged person with 65% of the disability and he also belongs to schedule caste community.

The petitioner registered his name with the Employment Exchange and he received a call letter dated 20.06.2013 stating that he was recommended for the post of Livestock Inspector. Accordingly, he participated in the interview held on 09.07.2013 and thereafter, he was selected and appointed as Livestock Inspector and he should appear before the third respondent for training course along with the certificate. He applied for leave to the third respondent from 11.11.2013 to 30.11.2013, since he was suffering from nervous problem.

3. The petitioner would further state that he was admitted in the Government Stanley Hospital for his illness. While so, the third respondent sent a letter dated 17.12.2013 directing him to join the training course immediately, failing which, they would initiate departmental action against him, for which, the petitioner sent a suitable reply to the first respondent.

4. The petitioner sent representations dated 03.03.2014 and 07.09.2015 seeking alternative employment and he also received a letter dated 20.10.2015 from the second respondent to appear for certificate verification. But thereafter, no order has been passed and therefore, the petitioner filed the present writ petition.

5. Heard the submissions of Mr.D.Prasanna, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.L.Mahendran, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the second respondent to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 07.09.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.
