ORDER

Heard Mr.J.Sudhakaran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

2, The petitioner seeks for a direction upon the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.01.2015.

3. The petitioner claims to be the Treasurer of an unregistered Board, namely Anjuman Masjith Trust Board, which is situated in S.No.163/1 Jary Kondalampatti, Salem. It is stated that there is a building in the said land, which is used for worship as well as for educational purposes for people professing Islamic religion. Further it is stated that the property in question was transferred in the name of the said board by registered sale deed dated 22.06.2000 vide Document No.1062/2000. The petitioner now seeks for a permission for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

renovation and when he approached the second respondent, the second respondent directed the petitioner to approach the first respondent and accordingly a representation has been given to the first respondent on 24.01.2015.

In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, there will be a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation on merits and pass orders in accordance with law and if in the opinion of the District Collector, report of the Wakf Superintendent is required, it is open to the first respondent to call for such report and thereafter, proceed with the same as expeditiously as possible.

5. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
