Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of mandamus directing the first respondent herein to pass orders on the request of the petitioner for cancellation of mining lease as lapsed as per Rule 28(1) of the Mineral Concession Rules 1960 as per the representation of the petitioner dated 29.01.2015 which is pending before the first respondent in the patta land in S.F.No.52/2B and 52/3B to an extent of 1.53.5 Hectares in Punjaipudupalayam Village, Tiruchengode Taluk, Namakkal District. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.T.N.Rajagopalan, learned Special Government Pleader, who took notice for the respondents. With their consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the first respondent to dispose of her representation dated 29.01.2015 for cancellation of mining lease in respect of the patta land in S.F.No.52/2B and 52/3B to an extent of 1.53.5 Hectares in Punjaipudupalayam Village, Tiruchengode Taluk, Namakkal District.

3.Considering the limited nature of the prayer sought for herein, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 29.01.2015 on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of personal hearing to all the parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
