PRAYER : Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, to punish the respondent with maximum punishment for willful and deliberate disobedience of the order passed by this Court dated 11.09.2018 in W.P.No.23806 of 2018.

ORDER

The case of the petitioner is that before filing of the writ petition, the petitioners have been released with gratuity but with at a belated stage. Therefore, the petitioners sought interest and have come to the Court seeking to disburse the interest at the rate of 12% per annum from the dates on which the petitioners are retired from service till date of disbursement. It is submitted that the contempt petitioners have made a representation to the respondent on 23.10.2018 and on 15.03.2019 a contempt notice was also sent to the respondent.

2.In compliance of the order of this Court, the respondent sent a reply dated 10.01.2019 saying that there is no provision of payment of interest for the retirement

benefits already disbursed.

3.This Court is of the view that the order of this Court has been complied with and hence there is no act of contempt in this petition. Accordingly, this Contempt Petition is dismissed. No costs.
