ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent not to harass the petitioner under the guise of conducting enquiry 2.The petitioner, who is a widow lady, lost her husband during corana on 25.05.2021. After the death of her husband, for the loans and for the private dealings within the family members, the petitioner was unnecessarily harassed and forced by the respondent police/second respondent to give an undertaking to repay the loans of her husband.

3.The contention of the petitioner is that the petitioner, after the death of her husband, is living separately and taking care of her two sons along with their education. The petitioner sent a representation on 24.11.2025 stating about the harassment caused and though the representation was received by the respondent police, the harassment continues in the guise of enquiry. The petitioner, following the death of her husband, is living separately and takes care of her two sons, along with their education 4.The learned Govt. Advocate for the respondents submitted that the petitioner earlier was called for enquiry and thereafter, after recording her explanation, she was not called and as on date, there is no complaint and the petitioner is not required for any enquiry.

5. In view of the above, the criminal original petition is disposed of. It is made clear that if any complaint is made, the petitioner can be called for enquiry only upon issuance of summons and after granting sufficient time.
