Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records of the respondent in his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.1925/2014/H1 dated 14.05.2014 and to quash the same and further direct the respondent appoint the petitioner on compassionate ground in any one of the suitable post in Pollachi Municipality as deemed fit in the circumstances of the case and pass such further or other order and thus render justice. O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed challenging the rejection of the petitioner's representation dated 10.03.2014 for compassionate appointment only on the ground that she is a married daughter of the deceased workman.

2. Considering the fact that even married daughters are entitled to compassionate appointment if otherwise qualified, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider afresh the representation of the petitioner dated 10.03.2014 and pass orders, after following the due process of law and taking into account the extant law and rules, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of the order. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
