COMMON ORDER These Contempt Petitions are filed to punish the respondent for the willful disobedience of the interim order of this Court in W.M.P.Nos.14838 and 14833 of 2022 in W.P.No.15619 of 2022 and 15617 of 2022 dated 20.06.2022.

2. According to the respondent University, subsequent to the filing of the contempt petitions, the writ petitions itself have been disposed of and against the said orders, writ appeals have been filed by the petitioners, along with similarly placed persons, in W.A.Nos.22425 & 269 of 2023 before the Division Bench of this Court. On 13.02.2023, in the said appeals, the Division Bench has directed the respondent University to promote the petitioners to the post of Associate Professor. Pursuant to the said direction, on 08.03.2023, the respondent University has issued an order of promotion to the petitioners as Associate Professor and the same has not been controverted by the petitioners and the petitioners have accepted the promotion.

contempt petitions are closed.
