ORDER
With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondent to survey and measure the property situated at No.7/2, Gulam Abbas Ali Khan 6th Street, Thousand Light, Chennai - 600 006 in pursuance to the letter dated 27.10.2023 vide O.MU.J3/21670/2023 issued by the District Collector, Chennai and submit the report within time frame as fixed by this Court.
3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.
4. The case of the petitioner is that the subject property has been settled in favour of the petitioner by his mother vide registered settlement deed dated 05.07.2013 and the petitioner is in possession and enjoyment of the same. The grievance of the petitioner is that though he has given a representation to the respondent on 21.09.2023 to survey his property and also paid necessary fees, the respondent has not considered the representation of the petitioner. Hence, 2/4
the present Writ Petition.
5. Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 21.09.2023 and pass appropriate orders on the same, after giving notice to the neighbouring land owners and any other interested persons, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
