This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking relief of a writ of Mandamus, to direct the Regional Transport Authority concerned to receive the application of the petitioner in Form CCPA and the prescribed fee for the grant of Autorickshaw permit and to consider the same and pass orders in accordance with law.

2. Heard the submissions of M/s.S.Govindraman, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.M.Muthukumar, Government Advocate who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. Without going into the merits of the matters, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the Regional Transport Officer, Chennai (East), Chennai, to receive the application of the petitioner, consider the same and pass appropriate orders for grant of auto rickshaw permit, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
