This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider and pass

Order These writ petitions are filed for the following relief: "To direct respondent to consider and pass orders on the representation made by petitioners for granting promotion as Fireman Driver in the panel for the year 2014-15 of the Northern Region (Or) alternatively to fix petitioners' salary on par with P.Dhanasekaran in the scale of pay of Rs.34,100/- with all benefits from the date of his fixation of salary in the post of Fireman Driver and grant to the petitioners all consequential service and monetary benefits with arrears of salary."

2. The petitioners would submit that they were appointed as a Fireman in the respondent department in the year 2010. The petitioners would submit that one P.Dhanasekaran, who was recruited as Fireman along with the petitioners was granted promotion to the post of Fireman Driver. The petitioners' case is that they are also eligible for the promotion post, namely, the Fireman Driver. Therefore, they made a representations dated 21.03.2026, 23.03.2026 and 24.03.2026, respectively to the respondent seeking promotion as a Fireman Driver in the panel for the year 2014 - 2015 in the Northern Region (or) alternatively fix their salary on part with the said P.Dhanasekaran in the scale of pay of Rs.34,100/- with all benefits. Since there is no response, these writ petitions have been filed.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the fact that the petitioners' representation dated 21.03.2026, 23.03.2026 and 24.03.2026, have not been considered to date, a direction is issued to the respondent to consider the petitioners' representation and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, these writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
