Prayer in W.P.No.18270 of 2023: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to issue petitioner's original degree certificate and a compensation for the lost job opportunities based on petitioner's representation dated 15.02.2023.

For Petitioner (in all WPs) : Mr.R.Muruga Bharath ***** COMMON ORDER Since the issue involved in these writ petitions is one and the same, with the consent of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, these writ petitions were heard together and disposed of by this common order.

2. Since no adverse order has been passed against the respondent, notice to the respondent is dispensed with.

3. The case of the petitioners is that, they have completed B.Sc. Degree on Fire and Safety in the years 2018 - 2020 and 2017 - 2020 respectively in the respondent College. After completion of their degree, the respondent College has not issued the original degree certificate to them. Therefore, they have made their representations dated 16.02.2023 and 15.02.2023 respectively before the 2/4

respondent College. Since the same was not considered by the respondent College, they have filed the above writ petitions before this Court for appropriate directions.

4. Though very many grounds have been raised in these writ petitions, the learned counsel for the respective petitioners submits that, it would suffice, if this Court, issues a direction to the respondent College to issue the original degree certificates to the petitioners based on their representations dated 16.02.2023 and 15.02.2023 respectively, within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. Though the petitioners have made representations before the respondent College, however, till date, the respondent College has not considered the same and passed any orders. Therefore, no useful purpose will be served in directing the respondent College to pass appropriate orders on the representations made by the respective petitioners as it would cause hardship to the petitioner to eke their livelihood. Therefore, to render substantial justice, this Court, by invoking inherent power, directs the respondent College to issue the original degree certificates to the petitioners within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/4
