ORDER
This is the case where the petitioner retired from service of the respondents on 31.01.2017. After the petitioner retired from service his Death-cum-Retirement Gratuity (DCRG) and Provident Fund amount has been settled.
2. However, the pension has not been released to the petitioner in view of the alleged due of the petitioner to the Thrift Society. However, the respondents have not been quantified the amount and have not paid the pension to the petitioner.
3. The petitioner is currently aged about 64 years. Considering the above, the respondents are directed to pay the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
pension to the petitioner with effect from 1st of October 2021 and also clear the arrears within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order subject to any deductions that are warranted for the amounts due from the petitioner to the aforesaid Thrift Society.
4. While making deductions, the respondents are directed to furnish the basis on which the aforesaid deductions have been made. Liberty is given to the petitioner to challenge any deduction that may be made by the respondents while paying the arrears in accordance with law.
5. This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above observations. No costs. Consequently, connected Writ Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
