ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to set aside the Order in Crl.MP.No.12376 of 2023 dated 07.06.2023 passed by the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioners were granted anticipatory bail in Cr.No.109 of 2023 for the offence under Sections 147, 294(b) and 506(i) of IPC. He would further submit that the Principal Sessions Judge had granted anticipatory bail to the petitioner on 17.05.2023 imposing a condition "that the petitioners shall execute a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- each (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the respondent police". He further submits that the 1st petitioner is a senior citizen and the 2nd and 3rd petitioners are his daughter and wife. Due to his illness, the petitioners did not surrender within the stipulated time. He further submits that the petitioner had filed a petition in Crl.MP.No.12376 of 2023 seeking for extension of time for furnishing sureties and the same was dismissed on 07.06.2023. and thereby, the present petition has been filed seeking indulgence of this court.

Considering the grievance expressed by the petitioner, the order dated 07.06.2023 passed in Crl.M.P.No.12376 of 2023 is set aside and time for furnishing sureties in respect of bail granted by the court below by order dated 17.5.2023 in Crl.M.P.No.11478 of 2023 is extended by two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. All other conditions remain unaltered. The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly. 23.06.2023 Index:Yes/No Internet: Yes/No drl/ssk.
