With the consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.According to the petitioner, he was selected and appointed as Typist in the year 1972 through the TNPSC and subsequently promoted as Assistant in the year 1975 and as Superintendent in the year 1985. In the year 1995 he was https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

promoted as Municipal Commissioner and retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation on 30.09.2009. However, due to audit objection, the pension and retirement benefits were not fully paid to the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation to the respondents on 30.09.2015 and reminder on 03.11.2015. However, no order has been passed so far by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner filed the present writ petition.

3.Heard the submissions of Mr.R.Karthikeyan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and M/s.M.E.Raniselvam, Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4.This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30.09.2015 and reminder dated 03.11.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.
