Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the Memorandum of Revision Petition dated 16.12.2014 made to him, preferred against the order dated 31.10.2014 passed in Estt/E/PL-Sivakasi/2011-12, on the file of the second respondent herein, within a time frame. For Petitioner : Mr.S.Subbiah For Respondents : Mr.R.Balaramesh Additional Government Pleader.

The case of the petitioner is that aggrieved by the order of the second respondent dated 31.10.2014 passed in Estt/E/PLSivakasi/2011-12, he preferred two revision petitions dated 16.12.2014. Though, the first respondent acknowledged the

receipt of memorandum of Revision Petitions, but so far no communication has been sent to the petitioner. 2.The petitioner would state that he is now aged about 61 years and retired from service as early as on 30.06.2012 on attaining the age of superannuation, however, he could not receive his retirement benefits, due to the impugned order passed by the second respondent. Since, the revision petitions were not disposed of, he has come up with the present writ petition.

3.Heard the submissions of Mr.S.Subbiah, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Balaramesh, Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4.This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the first respondent to dispose of the revision petitions dated 16.12.2014 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner. 5.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly.
