Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.01.2015 with regard to transfer to the place of Grizzled Squirrel Santuary, Srivilliputhur as per G.O.Ms.No.10 P & AR Department, dated 07.01.1994 and Government Letter No.21086/Per.S/94-1 dated 21.03.1994. O R D E R

The petitioner is presently posted at Virudhunagar. He is working as Assistant Conservator of Forest. The petitioner submitted a representation on 30.01.2015 requesting the second respondent to transfer him to Srivilliputhur. Since the said representation was not taken up for consideration, the petitioner is before this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate on behalf of the respondents.

3. The document available on record shows that the petitioner has given representation only to the first respondent. According to the learned Government Advocate, the appropriate authority to consider the representation is none other than the second respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. The petitioner is given liberty to submit a representation to the second respondent. In case any such representation is given for transfer, the same shall be considered and disposed of by the second respondent on merits and taking into account the age and other factors as projected in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of representation.

5. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
