ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by V.SIVAGNANAM, J.] Seeking a direction to respondents 1 and 2 to secure the petitioner's wife namely Subha, aged about 26 years, who has been illegally detained under the custody of the third respondent herein and produce her before this Court and to set her at liberty, the present habeas corpus petition has been filed.

2.It is the case of the petitioner that his wife Subha went missing on 21.09.2020 and that the police have not taken effective steps to secure her.

3.Today, Mr.S.Vijayakumar, Sub Inspector of Police, Cheyyar Police Station, Thiruvannamalai District is present. 4.On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Cheyyar P.S. Crime No.3105 of 2020 was registered on 22.09.2020 for 'woman missing'; Subha was secured on 19.12.2020 and the petitioner was informed of it. In the police station, Subha stated that she wants to go with her parents and the said statement was recorded. So, Subha was handed over to her mother. 5.Recording the same, this habeas corpus petition stands closed.
