With the consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. The case of the petitioner is that her father A.Ramu, who was working as Gang Mazdor in Highways Department died in harness on 12.10.2013. The petitioner being the only legal heir sought for appointment under the Compassionate grounds and gave her representation on 29.02.2014. The respondent vide letter Ku.No.882/2014/Udhavi/05.01.2015 dated 05.01.2015 asked for some clarification, which was also furnished by the petitioner. Subsequently, the petitioner sent reminder dated 09.09.2015 seeking appointment under the compassionate grounds. Since no order has been passed. The petitioner filed the present writ petition.
3.Heard the submissions of Mr.S.Raja, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and M/s.N.Srinivasan, Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

4.This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.02.2014 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner. 5.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
