The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 08.01.2019 for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 8(c) read with Sections 20(b)(ii)(c), 27(A), 28 and 29 of NDPS Act in NCB.F.No.48/1/02/19-NCB/MDS on the file of the respondent police, pending trial in C.C.No.116 of 2019 on the file of the learned Principal NDPS Court, Chennai, seeks bail.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he is no way connected with the alleged offence, whereas, he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner is suffering incarceration from 08.01.2019 and he further submitted that, this is the third bail petition filed by the petitioner and he is ready to abide any stringent condition that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed for grant of bail to the petitioner.

Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that petitioner along with two other accused are involved in illegal transportation of 50 pockets of ganja weighin around 107.02 of ganja. 4. Considering the quantity of the contraband seized from the petitioner, which is a commercial quantity and it needs detailed investigation and now the trial is pending in this case, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
