Respondents PRAYER : Writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to pass orders in the petition T.R.No.1 of 2013 filed by the petitioner to record him as a cultivating tenant in the tenancy register within a time frame.

Petitioner, is the cultivating tenant of the respondents 2 to 4. He made an application before the Tahsildar and Tenancy Record Officer, Avinashi Taluk in T.R.No.1 of 2013 to include his name in the record of tenancy right. Though the said application is pending for more than two years, no orders are passed till now and therefore, the present Writ Petition is filed.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent.

3.Taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for, coupled with the fact that no final order is passed in T.R.No.1 of 2013, a direction is issued to the first respondent to pass appropriate orders on the same after affording an opportunity to the petitioner and the respondents 2 to 4, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
