Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of mandamus, directing the respondent Government to pass orders with regard to the reference of the Industrial Dispute covered by the Conciliation Failure Report bearing Ref. No.Na.Ka. No.A/332/2014 dated 4.12.2014 under Section 10(1) of the Industrial Disputes Act expeditiously and within such time as stipulated by this Honourable Court.

ORDER

The above writ petition has been filed by the United Labour Federation to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to pass orders with regard to the reference of the Industrial Dispute covered by the Conciliation Failure Report bearing https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

dated 4.12.2014 under Section 10(1) of the Industrial Disputes Act, within a stipulated time.

2. According to the petitioner, the Conciliation Officer issued failure report on 4.12.2014 and that the same is pending with the Government since 5.12.2014. Since the failure report is pending with the respondent for a long time, the petitioner has filed the above writ petition.

3. Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent and submitted that the respondent may be directed to pass orders within a stipulated time.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and also taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to pass orders with regard to the reference of the Industrial Dispute covered by the Conciliation Failure Report dated 4.12.2014 under Section 10(1) of the Industrial Disputes Act, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
