..Respondents PRAYER : Petition filed under section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, to punish the respondents for willfully and wantonly disobeyed the order passed in W.P.No.97 of 2019 dated 21.08.2023 as per the Contempt of Court Act.

O R D E R

This Contempt Petition has been filed complaining non implementation of the order of this Court dated 21.08.2023 in W.P.No.97 of 2019.

2. On behalf of the second respondent a compliance report has been filed, wherein it is stated that the Tahsildar, Ponneri forwarded the petitioner's pension proposal to the Accountant General, Chennai on 14.09.2024. The Accountant General in his letter dated 26.09.2024 has sanctioned the amount (i.e., Pension and DCRG amounts) to the petitioner.

3. Basing on the statement made in the compliance report, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the order of this Court is complied with and to credit the amount for which the petitioner is entitled in compliance of the order of this Court dated 21.08.2024, two weeks time is required.

4. Considering the compliance report submitted by the second respondent and submission of the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents, in my considered view further adjudication is not required in the contempt case.

5. Accordingly, this Contempt case is closed.

6. However, it is made clear that it is open to the petitioner counsel to make a mention before this Court to restore the contempt case if the eligible amounts are not paid to the petitioner within the two weeks time as sought by the respondents.
