Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to disburse to the interest for the amount of compensation awarded from the date of acquisition of the petitioner lands as per Section 12 of the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Lands for Industrial Purpose Act, 1997 (Act No.10 of 1999) and pass orders. O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed for seeking direction to the 4th respondent to pay the interest for the compensation awarded to the petitioner under Section 12, of the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purpose Act, 1997(Act No.10 of 1999) (hereinafter referred to as "the Act").

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner's land has been acquired under the Act. Subsequently an award has also been passed and the amount disbursed, while passing the award the interest payable to the petitioner under Section 12 of the Act has not been paid. She made a representation to the 4th respondent that was not considered, hence the present Writ Petition is filed.

3. Considering the prayer sought by the writ petitioner this Court is not going into the merits of the case. The 4th respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 03.09.2008, and pass suitable orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No Costs.
