(3) To grant an Interim stay of the order dated 20/05/2019 passed by the Hon'ble I Additional Family Court Judge , Chennai in IA.NO.1659/2017 in OS.No.2171/2016 during the (in CMP.14991/2019) (4)To grant an Interim stay of the order dated 20/05/2019 passed by the Hon'ble I Additional Family Court Judge , Chennai in IA.NO.3245/2017 in OS.No.2171/2016 during the (in CMP.14999/2019) pendency of the above CMA Nos.2864 and 2865 of 2019 respectively. Order : These appeal coming on for hearing on today upon perusing the petitions of appeal, the order of the lower court, and the material papers in the case, and upon hearing the arguments of MR.G.PRAMILA, Advocate for the appellant/petitioner in all the petitions and of MR.AUXILIA PETER, Advocate for the Respondent in all the petitions the court made the following order:- https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
[Order of the Court was made by N.KIRUBAKARAN, J.,] These matters have been posted under the caption 'for extension of time' before this Court.
2. This Court by judgment dated 07.02.2020 directed the I Additional Family Court, Chennai to dispose of O.P. No. 2171 of 2016 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of that judgment.
3. However, the Judge, I Additional Family Court, Chennai vide communication dated 09.06.2021 requests time for disposing of the aforesaid case, since the court cannot function effectively due to Covid-19 pandemic situation and more over, parties are also not present before that Court.
4. In view of that, six months time is granted as sought for.
5. Since there is a reference in the letter dated 09.06.2021 that Parties have preferred SLP No.15303-15306 of 2020 before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, the Trial Court is directed to get a memo from both parties as to whether there is a stay of the proceedings or not and the Trial Court is advised not to proceed with the matter, If there is a stay of the proceedings, otherwise, the Trial Court is directed to proceed with the matter. -sd/- 29/07/2021 / TRUE COPY / Sub-Assistant Registrar ( Statistics / C.S. ) High Court, Madras - 600 104.
