Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus to call for the records relating to the detention order in RC.No.C2/21573/2021 dated 13.08.2021 passed by the 2nd respondent under the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 and set aside the same and direct the 4th respondent to produce the detenu namely, Anandhan, son of Angamuthu, the detenu, now confined in Central Prison, Cuddalore before this Hon'ble Court and set the detenu Anandhan, son of Angamuthu at liberty.

[Order of the Court was made by M.SUNDAR, J.,] When the captioned 'Habeas Corpus Petition' ['HCP' for the sake of brevity] was taken up for hearing, Ms.M.Dharshini, learned counsel representing the counsel on record for petitioner and Mr.E.Raj Thilak, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for respondents are before us.

2. This Court is informed that the captioned HCP has become infructuous as the date of impugned detention order is 13.08.2021, one year has elapsed and we are also informed that the detenu has since been Page Nos.2/4

released.
