Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Declaration, declaring the Tamil Nadu Municipalities Television Cables Installation Regulation Rules 2000 notified in G.O.Ms.No.58 Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department (M.A.I.V) dated 4.5.2000 as ultra vires, illegal and invalid and direct the first respondent herein, in so far as the petitioner is concerned to issue appropriate directions to the Commissioner/Executive Authorities of the Municipalities to exercise their powers only in accordance with the law.

Prayer in W.P.No.10664 of 2003:

Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Declaration, declaring the Tamil Nadu Enetertainment Tax (Levy and Collection of Tax for connection of Television Exhibition Rules) 2000 notified in G.O.Ms.NO.91, Municipal Administration and Supply Department dated 30.06.2000 as ultra vires, illegal and invalid and direct the first respondent herein, in so far as the petitioner is concerned to issue appropriate directions to the Commissioner/Executive Authorities of the Municipalities Town and Village Panchayats to exercise their powers only in accordance with the law.
