ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.08.2016 regarding compensation for the trees cut down on his lands in the guise of installation of electrical corridor.

2. According to the petitioner, the respondents, in the guise of installation of electrical corridor for the 4th respondent, unlawfully entered into his agricultural land and cut down number of standing trees and removed the woods. Though a representation was given to the 1st respondent seeking compensation, the same has not yet been considered is the grievance expressed by the petitioner in this writ petition.

3. Heard both sides.

4. Considering the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without going into the merits of the case, this court directs the 1st respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner dated 20.08.2016 for compensation for the alleged cutting down of trees on his agricultural lands and pass appropriate orders thereof within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly with the above directions. No costs.
