Mr.A.Mohan * * * * * COMMON ORDER Petitioners herein are Professors in the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Chennai.
As Head of Departments of the respective Departments, Petitioners herein were entrusted with projects by the Respondent/Institute on the assessment of training needs of technical personnel of various Departments. It is stated by the Petitioners that, Technical Teachers Training Institute is an autonomous Institution under the Ministry of Human Resources Development under the Government of India. Projects entrusted to the said Institute were implemented under a Scheme called 'Internal Revenue Generation and Utilization'. Under the said Scheme, 50% of the amount received, goes to the Institution and the remaining 50% is shared by the team involved in the work including the supporting staff.

The case of the Petitioners is that, the Respondent/Institute has retained the entire money with them and has not distributed the amount due to the team implementing the project in accordance with the Rules governing the same. As the Respondent/Institute is not responding to their requests as regards payment of the amount due to them, Petitioners herein have come up with the above Writ Petitions, seeking to disburse the amounts due to them for the respective projects completed by them. 4.
Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the material documents available on record.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the Petitioners herein to make a fresh representation to the Respondents herein in respect of their grievance and on receipt of the same, the Respondents shall consider their representation and pass appropriate orders as regards payment of the amount due to them, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With the above direction, Writ Petitions are disposed of. No costs.
