ORDER
This writ petition is filed challenging the order of the 1st respondent in Na.Ka.No.292/2014/A2 dated 16.06.2014, in and by which, the petitioner was directed to pay a sum of Rs.1,24,856/- (Rupees one lakh twenty four thousand and eight hundred and fifty six only) being the excise duty due.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has purchased the property through a registered sale deed, dated 14.03.2011 and on that date of purchase, there was https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
no encumbrance in the property.
3. Per contra, the learned standing counsel for the 2nd respondent submitted that the petitioner has already remitted the amount demanded in the impugned order.
4. In view of the above fact, no further adjudication is necessary in this writ petition. Hence, the writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
