ORDER
[Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to
direct the first and second respondent to produce the petitioner's daughter Thirisha, aged about 18 years, before this Court from the custody of the 3rd respondent and set her at liberty.
2.
It is the case of the petitioner that his daughter Thirisha, aged about 18 years, is in the illegal custody of Ranjith, third respondent herein and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure her.
3.
On instructions, the learned Public Prosecutor (Puducherry) submitted that on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Villianur Police Station Crime No.296 of 2021 for 'girl missing' was registered on 20.08.2021 and during investigation, Thirisha and Ranjith appeared before Tindivanam Police Station on 22.08.2021 along with their parents. 4.
It appears that Thirisha was in love with Ranjith and got married to him. Thirisha was produced before the Judicial Magistrate Court No.III, Puducherry on 03.09.2021. 5.
In such view of the matter, it cannot be stated that Thirisha is in the illegal custody of Ranjith for the issuance of a writ of habeas corpus.
