Prayer:- Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for writs of mandamus, to direct the respondent herein to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's applications dated 13.04.2016 for the grant of contract carriage Omni Bus Permits (dealt within R.Nos.15830/A3/2016 and 15831/A3/2016), respectively, forthwith. For Petitioner in both W.Ps.: Mr. K.Hariharan For Respondent in both W.Ps.: Mr. R.Lakshmi Narayanan, A.G.P., C O M M O N O R D E R Heard Mr. K.Hariharan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Lakshmi Narayanan, learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondent, in both the writ petitions. By consent of the learned counsel for both sides, the writ petitions are taken-up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner has filed Applications for grant of Omni Bus Permits, which according to the petitioner, have been received in the office of the respondent and numbers have been assigned, viz., R.Nos.15830/A3/2016 and 15831/A3/2016, respectively. The said Applications have not been either considered or rejected. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court with these writ petitions.

3. Taking into consideration the limited scope of the relief sought for in these writ petitions, there will be a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's applications, dated https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

13.04.2016, if the same are in order and if they are pending before the respondent, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, these writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
