Heard Mr.P.Satheesh Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.B.B.Senthil Kumar, learned counsel who accepts notice for the respondents and with their consent, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself. 2.The petitioner seeks for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to mutate records in the name of the petitioner by providing a separate door number for the payment of the property tax in respect of the property bearing Old No.2, New No.20, Velayutha Pandian Street, Washermenpet, Chennai 600 021.

3.The petitioner applied for mutation of the name in the revenue records of the Corporation by assigning separate door number. The petitioner is said to have purchased the property by a Sale Deed dated 17.03.2008. According to the petitioner, the property is a separate property consisting of land measuring an extent of 1167 sq.ft. along with a tiled house. It is seen that there is no sub-division of the property done by the petitioner prior to his purchase. In any event, application is pending before the authority concerned.

4.In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the petitioner's representation dated 08.10.2014, there will be a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 08.10.2014 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
