PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondent Police to produce the body and person of the petitioner's daughter namely Ms.Shearthana aged about 27 years before this Court and set her at liberty. ORDER

(Order of this Court was made by M.S.RAMESH.J,) Alleging that the petitioner's major daughter, aged about 27 years, has eloped with one K.Samuel and that she is under his illegal custody, the present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed.

2. The petitioner's complaint with regard to the missing of his daughter was registered in Cr.No.131 of 2025 under the caption "woman missing".

3. Pursuant to the direction issued by this Court to the learned Additional Public Prosecutor to report on the status of the petitioner's complaint, it is now submitted that the petitioner's daughter had married one K.Samuel, aged about 25 years, on 01.03.2025. The marriage certificate bearing No.2233/2025 on the file of the Registrar General, Chennai has also been produced before us.

4. Since the petitioner's daughter is a major and has consciously chosen her partner and legally married him, the present petition seeking for

production of the petitioner's major daughter and setting her at liberty, do not require consideration.
