O R D E R

The petitioner is presently working as Inspector of Police. He was deputed along with others to CBCID Crime Department at Vellore for the purpose of investigation of the case in Crime No.599 of 2013. The team worked with other officers at Vellore, Chennai, Trichy, Mangalore, Mulbaga etc. The team conducted investigation and arrested the accused. The Government of Tamil Nadu announced reward of Rs.1

lakh to each of the police officers concerned.

2. It is the grievance of the petitioner that even though amount was paid to other officers, he was not given the amount sanctioned by the Chief Minister. The petitioner therefore submitted a representation on 30.11.2013 requesting the 1st respondent to sanction him the award. Since there was no follow up action taken by the 1st respondent, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. The 1st respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 30.11.2013, on merits and as per law and in the light of the order in G.O.Ms.No.848, Home (POL VII) Department, dated 15.10.2013. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
