O R D E R

The petitioner was appointed as Salesman in Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation Limited (hereinafter referred to as "TASMAC"). According to the petitioner, he took leave for the period from 1.7.2014 to 21.09.2014. However, he was not permitted to join duty thereafter by the Corporation. The petitioner submitted a representation on 23.09.2014, requesting the third respondent to permit him to join duty. However, there was no follow up action, resulting in filing this Writ Petition.

2. The learned Standing Counsel for TASMAC, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner is an absconder and as such there was no delay on the part of the third respondent in permitting him to join duty.

3. The third respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 23.09.2014 on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The petitioner is directed to forward a copy of the representation dated 23.09.2014 along with a copy of this order so as to enable the third respondent to dispose of the representation within the aforesaid period.

5. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
