Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent, the Commissioner, Chennai City Municipal Corporation to consider and to pass appropriate orders on the representation of the Petitioner dated 21.07.2014, in the light of the orders issued by this Hon'ble Court in W.P.No.9519 of 2012, dated 04.07.2012.

O R D E R

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to consider and pass appropriate orders on the representation of the writ petitioner dated 21.07.2014.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner contended that the petitioner is entitled for a claim regarding General Provident Fund, Special Provident Fund, Encashment of Earned Leave, under Rule 9(1) and 9(2) of the Tamil Nadu Pension Rules. submitted that the issue was considered and a direction was given by this Court on 17.11.2016 in W.P.No.11500 of 2013, directing the respondents to consider the similar claim in respect of others. The writ petitioner also submitted a representation in this regard on 21.07.2014. Thus, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 21.07.2014 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petitioner is directed to enclose a copy of his representation, alongwith the order passed by this Court in this Writ petition.

3. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
