Vs

1. The District Collector, Chengalpattu District, Kanchipuram

2. The Tahsildar Alandur, Chennai - 600 016 ... Respondents Prayer :- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.12.2014 and dispose of the same on merits.

For Petitioner :

Mr.G.Vijayaraghavan For Respondents :

Mr.S.Gunasekaran Government Advocate

O R D E R

Heard Mr.G.Vijayaraghavan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Gunasekaran, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. With the consent of either side, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.

2.The petitioner seeks for direction upon the respondents to consider the representation dated 30.12.2014, by which the petitioner seeks for assignment of the land measuring to an extent of 5 acres and 15 cents in Survey no.288, situate at Pozhichalur Village, Saidapet Taluk, under the Welfare of Ex-service man. 3.Admittedly, the petitioner is not a ex-service man, but his father is a ex-service man. Way back there appears to be proposal made for allotment of land. But the proposal did not fructify into the allotment order. Now, after the demise of the petitioner's father, the petitioner seeks for allotment of land. This Court cannot compel the respondents to grant any allotment and hence this https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Petition is dismissed. However, this will not prevent the petitioner from pursuing his representation before the concerned competent authority.

4.In the result, this Writ Petition is dismissed with the above observation. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
