Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to provide police protection to the petitioner and her family pursuant to her representation dated 23.07.2014. ORDER

The writ petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent to provide police protection to the petitioner and her family pursuant to her representation dated 23.07.2014. 2.

The petitioner seeks direction to the 1st respondent to provide police protection to her and her family members to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

safeguard their lives from rowdies, who had put up a compound wall on the pathway near the petitioner's residence and attacked her son for questioning the same and giving life threat to her family members. Now, almost four years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted now. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh petition, on fresh cause of action, if so advised.

With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
