Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to consider petitioners representation dated 5.6.2014 and 29.11.2014 and promote him to the post of Maistry with effect from the date his immediate juniors were promoted to the post of Maistry from the post of Assistant.

The petitioner is presently working as Animal Husbandary Assistant in Animal Husbandary Department. The next avenue of promotion is the post of Maistry. Though the petitioner is eligible to be promoted to the post of Maistry taking into account of his six years of qualifying service, his case was not considered for promotion. The petitioner submitted a representation on 05.6.2014 and 29.11.2014 requesting the first respondent to consider his case for promotion. 2. The first respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation dated 05.6.2014 and 29.11.2014 on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. The writ petition is disposed of with the above observation. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
