Respondents Prayer :- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.08.2014 in so far as, in the said representation, the petitioner had sought for issuance of patta to the petitioner's property situated at Kalambakkam Village, Perambakkam Post, Thiruttani Circle, Thiruvallur District - 631 402, Grama Natham, comprised in survey no.213/14 to an extent of 3 cents.

Heard Mr.S.Baskaran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayanan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. With the

consent of either side, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.

2.The petitioner seeks to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.08.2014, in which the petitioner has sought for grant of patta to an extent of three cents in Grama Natham, comprised in survey no.213/14

3. Since as on date the land is a government land, no Writ of Mandamus can be issued to compel the authority to grant patta. Further it is seen that when the representation was submitted to the District Collector, Thiruvallur the said representation was forwarded by the Personal Assistant to the District Collector, Thiruvalluur to the Tahsildar, Thirutanni Taluk, Thiruvallur/ 4th respondent to take appropriate action on the same vide communication dated 17.09.2014.

4.In such circumstances, it is open to the 4th respondent to consider the petitioner's representation in accordance with law. With the above direction, this Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
