Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to review the order of suspension vide Pro.Ref.No.1221/2013/A4 dated 25.04.2013 based on petitioner representation dated 21.04.2014.

O R D E R

The petitioner was placed under suspension by the first respondent vide order dated 25.04.2013 on account of her involvement in a criminal case in Crime No.76/2013 on the file of Mahalingapuram Police Station. The petitioner submitted a representation on 23.07.2014 requesting the first respondent to review the suspension. Since follow up action was not taken by the first respondent pursuant to the representation, the petitioner is before this Court.

2. The first respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 23.07.2014 on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has not been paid subsistence allowance during the currency of suspension. The first respondent is directed to pay subsistence allowance to the petitioner in accordance with the relevant Rules.
