O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to expedite the investigation in Crime No.620/1998 on the file of Inspector of Police, E-5, Pattinapakkam Police Station, Mylapore, Chennai and submit non-traceable certificate before the competent Court of jurisdiction within stipulated period as may be directed by this Court.

2.This court has already directed the respondent police to conduct the investigation in accordance with the guidelines given by this Court in K.Sugumari Vs. The Superintendent of Police, Virudhunagar District and others reported in 2018 (2) L.W. 636.

3.In view of the above order, no further orders can be passed by this Court and in a case of this nature the police will have to necessarily keep the investigation open and they can never close it as "undetectable" or issue any non-traceable certificate.

4.This Criminal Original petition is disposed of accordingly.
