Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to rehabilitate and restore the Korattur lake by measure and fix boundaries, desilting the lake, strengthen the bund and laying down pathway as per the G.O.No.(3D) No.80, Environment and Forests (EC2) Department, dated 10.09.2014 on the file of the 1st respondent within the period that may be fixed by this Court. ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Ms.D.Kamachi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.T.K.Saravanan, learned Government Advocate for the respondents.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that when the present matter was filed, similar issue was pending before the National Green Tribunal. Now, the National Green Tribunal has decided the similar matter. The petitioner would take steps pursuant to the order of the National Green Tribunal.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of. The petitioner may take recourse as may be permissible under law. There will be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
