ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to complete the investigation and file the final report in Crime No.49 of 2021 before the Judicial Magistrate No.V, Coimbatore on the file of the respondent police on merits in accordance with law.

2. The petitioners, who are accused in Crime No.49 of 2021 for the offence under Sections 294(b) and 324 of IPC, have filed this petition to complete the investigation and file a final report.

3. The contention of the petitioners is that there is a civil dispute between the petitioner/tenant and landlord. Due to Covid pandemic total lock down, there had been default in payment of rent. Thereafter, the defacto complainant locked the premises. Hence, dispute arose between them. The land lord by giving criminal colour to the civil dispute had given a complaint and the respondent police also registered an First Information Report.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) has submitted that the investigation is in penultimate stage and the final report will be filed within a period of one month.

5. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
