The petitioner, Convenor of Salem District Women's Wing of Dravidar Viduthalai Kazhagam, submitted a representation to the 2nd respondent on 20.04.2025, followed by 06.05.2025, seeking permission to held a rally and meeting on 24.05.2025 at 03.00 p.m. But, the 2nd respondent has not passed any order so far . Hence, the present writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the 2nd respondent to pass orders granting permission to held procession and public meeting on 24.05.2025 at Kolathur Bus stand Thidal. 2.
The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that a representation has been received and information has been gathered after assessing ground realities. Considering the feasibility, without affecting the movement of public and transportation, appropriate decisions would be taken shortly.

The learned counsel for the petitioner referred to an earlier order passed by this Court on 28.05.2015 in W.P.No.14568 of 2015, wherein, in a similar situation, this Court had permitted to held procession and public meeting.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) refuted the same,
stating that the above writ petition was a writ of certiorarifed mandamus, for which orders had already been passed. But, in this case, the respondents have not passed any orders, and the orders will be passed shortly. 5.
In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), the respondents shall pass appropriate orders well before the date of procession, preferably five days before the event i.e, 24.05.2025. Recording the same, this writ petition is disposed of. The connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
