Petitions under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 2 to 5 to return and send back the list of names recommended for appointment of High Court Judges sent by the collegium of the first respondent in February 2015 forthwith so as to enable the collegium of the first respondent to redo whole process of selection of candidates for elevation in compliance of the law and guidelines laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the cases reported in (1993) 4 SCC 441, (1998) 7 SCC 739 and (2009) 8 SCC 273 and in true letter and spirit of the order passed by the Hon'ble Apex Court in R.Gandhi v. Union of India whereas to ensure that the selection process is not vitiated in any manner and also by considering meritorious and competent lawyers from unrepresented communities in strict compliance of the constitutional mandate thereby upholding social justice.
