This application has been filed seeking to cancel the anticipatory bail granted to A1 and A2 in Crime No.31 of 2023 which had been registered for offences punishable under Sections 406, 420 and 506(i) of I.P.C. 2.

The anticipatory bail was granted by order dated 15.02.2024 in Crl.O.P.No.28397 of 2023. While granting anticipatory bail, this Court had directed the accused to deposit a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- totally to the credit of Crime No.31 of 2023 before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Tambaram. 3.

It is stated that now the said amount had been deposited on 07.03.2024 and it had also been invested in a Fixed Deposit in UCO Bank on the same date/07.03.2024 by the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Tambaram. Since the condition had been complied with, cancellation of the bail does not arise and this application stands dismissed. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner may be granted some relief by payment out from that sum.
