Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of writ of MANDAMUS directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations dated 19.02.2009, 20.02.2009 and 12.09.2013 pursuant to the proceedings in Na.Ka.No.1002/B2/2009 dated 05.03.2009 of the 6th respondent within a stipulated period of time and appoint the petitioner under the compassionate ground in any post in the respondents Department. O R D E R

The petitioner is the daughter of Mrs. A.Dhanalakshmi, who was employed as Secondary Grade Teacher in Municipal Elementary School, Salem. The mother of the petitioner died in harness on 07.01.1994. The petitioner submitted an application for compassionate appointment on 20.02.2009. The proceedings of the sixth respondent indicates that such a representation was made by the petitioner. However, there was no follow up action taken by the respondents, resulting in filing this Writ Petition.

2. The petitioner is directed to forward a copy of the representation dated 20.02.2009 to the second respondent along with a copy of the proceedings dated 05.03.2009 on the file of sixth respondent. The second respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 20.02.2009, on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the representation.
