Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying to issue Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pay the pending amount of surrender value of Earned Leave of Rs.26,915/- in 2018, Rs.33,400/- surrender value of Earned Leave in 2019 to the petitioner as communicated Letter No.1066711968(1214)/PIO/TNSTC(V)/2023 dated 18.12.2023 under Right to Information Act, 2005 along with interest at the rate of 6% per annum payable from the date of retirement in the light of the judgment passed by this Court on 11.01.2024 in W.P.No.568 of 2024. 1/4

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for direction to the respondents to pay the pending amount of surrender value of Earned Leave of Rs.26,915/- in 2018 and Rs.33,400/- surrender value of Earned Leave in 2019 to the petitioner with interest at the rate of 6% per annum. 2.

The petitioner was retired as a Clerk in the respondent Corporation on 30.11.2020. However, the petitioner was not settled the surrender value of Earned Leave for the years 2018 and 2019. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation and also obtained information under the Right to Information Act.

On perusal of the information furnished by the petitioner, the respondents have not disbursed the surrender value of Earned Leave for the years 2018 and 2019.

In view of the above, the respondents are directed to disburse the surrender value of Earned Leave for the years 2018 and 2019 along with interest at the rate of 6% per annum to the petitioner within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 5.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
